i'm just testing the waters as i'm still unsure, but i'm debating dropping out of otakon. if i do, i'll have a king single available at the hilton at the otakon rate, from thursday-monday but that can probably be changed. drop a comment if you're interested, but i can't guarantee anything until i've decided.

Hello Livejournal Otakon goers!

A friend and I are attempting to set up an art jam Friday night. Basically people who like to draw, or watch people draw, can get together and meet and sketch with one another.

Unfortunately I'm not making the Otakon this year, but I still have a hotel room available.

This is at the Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore (20 W Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201). Two beds. At the Con rate of $155/night, excluding taxes etc., total of four nights (check out the following morning).
Check in: Thursday, July 28, 2011
Check out: Monday morning, August 1, 2011

Since the hotel has an automatic penalty for cancellation after July 8th (and it is obviously after the date), I'd rather try and transfer the reservation than completely cancel it at this point, but also to give preference to Otakon attendees.

I won't be back online until later tonight (Wednesday, 7/20), after 8:30 PM Eastern Time. If interested, please post here and/or directly on my blog. I'll exchange phone #s etc. and will get the hotel reservation info changed ASAP.

EDITED AND UPDATED: I am waiting and hoping for takers through this weekend, Sunday. If I have no takers on such short notice, I'll just call the hotel Monday morning and take the penalty hit. Also I have finally figured out how to register on the official Otakon site and I have posted this notice by the same title, Room @ Radisson etc., as understandably not everyone who goes to Otakon will also be on LJ.

Hi everyone, I'm wanting to make it to Otakon this year, but need a little bit of help getting there!

I have been cosplaying for almost ten years and love making big, elaborate CLAMP like costumes (which also happen to be on the more expensive side :P ) So to raise a little extra money to head to Otakon this year, I am taking commissions, and selling Chii Ears!

My Persacom Ears are made out of Foamie, have a tailored design that I have been using for years, and each pair comes with a set of wooden, pink and white painted spools, which is something a lot of other Chii ears don't come with!

It is $12 for the Ears and the Spools plus $3 shipping, so only $15 for everything! (shipping takes three to five days, so please order with enough time for shipping!)

I have decided to room with 3 friends at the Hilton, so rather than cancelling the reservation at the Tremont Plaza Hotel, I am offering the room to anyone who needs a hotel room for Otakon. It's from Thursday 7/28 to Sunday 7/31. I am willing to turn it over to anyone needing a room for Otakon. Only serious inquires only. Any spammers/scammers will be ignored and dealt with appropriately.

Once again, it's at the Tremont Plaza Hotel, a room with 2 Queen Beds. The reservation is good from Thursday to Sunday. Anyone interested, please inquire before July 4th, otherwise I will cancel the reservation altogether.

So I may or may not make it to Otakon this year, depending on whether or not I can find roommates. (I would like to go, but I can't if it exceeds the monetary budget I've set aside for it.)

If anyone needs a room, it's just my b/f and I atm, and POSSIBLY a third friend at the Holiday Inn Inner Harbor. (The one CLOSER to the convention center.)

All costumes are made to fit someone with measurements of 38-28-40 give or take a few inches depending on fabric. All costumes were made and stored in a smoke free home, and have been very well taken care of. Also, I am going to start taking commissions this summer, so get ready for the Fall Con Season!!! Otakon is right around the corner and I can take a couple of commissions without killing myself :) I work mostly with ladies clothing and costumes, but have experience with Spandex suits, super hero costumes, some men's clothing and costumes, small props, and Wonderflex. I also do custom jewelry and accessories is anyone is interested!
